Dr. Nelson has seven board certifications in his areas of medical expertise. He has received multiple professional recognitions including consecutive awards as one of Memphis’s Top Docs as voted on by his medical peers.
Dr. Nelson is board certified in Phlebology, the treatment of vein disorders – one of only two physicians to hold this distinction in the Memphis area and only one of 13 in the entire state of Tennessee. Dr. Nelson utilizes the most-cutting edge technology and considers all available options and discusses these in detail with you to tailor treatment to your individual needs. He will take the time to really get to know you and to earn your trust. He believes that the relationship is one based on mutual trust and respect and will always work with you together to come up with a plan of care that not only will be of the highest quality, but one that will be highly individualized to your specific needs. He also will take the time to understand your concerns and he is committed to finding the source of your leg symptoms whether it be your arteries or your veins. Dr. Nelson received his medical training at some of the world’s premiere medical institutions including Yale, Emory and Harvard University with some of the most legendary figures in their respective fields, and yet his demeanor is one of humbleness.
